Serious Server Transfer Discusioun

I know you guys are hesitant to give blizz ANY money (cheap fucks), but I think it has come to the point where if we are going to continue in MoP we HAVE to x-fer.... I have talked to a lot of different guildies who agree. Thoughts?

Transfer is probably the only reasonable way if people wanted to continue playing wow into MoP. I am still thinking I am not even gona play though... I have the beta and don't even care to install.

Having said that though... if the research is done on a good server for us (probably med pop, pvp, oldserver) I could do a guild xfer and personal xfer. I definitely don't want to try and set this up though

This needs to be revisited!

Transferring servers is a big deal and we need people's inputs both good and bad. Assuming currently we want to go to an older med-high pop PVP server as horde. This is all up for discussion... if people wanted to go Alliance we could do that.. or go to an RP server etc. Here is my general brainstorming.

The Good:
- active server economy
- active server pick up groups
- active server pvp teams
- deeper pool of recruits
- more active server for world events, world bosses, pvp (lol) etc

The Bad:
- costs moneys
- some people would be left behind
- SLAX would leave ursin
- Your alts will be left behind and guildless
- Being able to top server times etc is more challenging
- Busier questing areas, overpopulation
- We would not be efamous
- Old people coming back might have trouble finding us

Just to disagree with void, I say do it! Also I thought when you guild transferred it sent a mail to all the people in the guild saying where the guild went and what not. Either way, gl in the xpac guys.

Zedy is a better guildie than most, hes even giving input with an inactive account!

Just so people aren't too confused, I don't think I'll ever want to get back to long raiding weeks. We aren't transferring so we can become super elite hardcore etc etc. Ursin has been dead for a while and we've stuck around, but it's just not worth it. For casual playing, like finding pugs or pvp groups, or recruiting cool people there is just no hope on ursin... not to mention the economy etc. And WoW is an MMO... active server changes perspectives on things.

I do plan to raid, and experience the content. Staying up countless late nights trying to get that next heroic boss kill or spending 20 hours for 1 percent dps in a rep grind is jut for the birds. With WoW being casual friendly.. we should be able to experience the raiding content and the new things it has to offer on a new server.

The guild would also stay on Ursin, just de-level to level 1. So everyone would stay in it. So I will definitely be xfering the guild also to bring along the guild bank.

I have played on Illidan a fair bit that might be worth looking into. A lot of high end guilds at least used to be there. So they would clear content and then would just trade chat pug for rep grinds. But that was back in bc. Otherwise I've always been interested in Tichondrious too. Both are high pop servers.

It's kinda nice knowing that Slax is always on Ursin. Lots of us have multiple toons here and may not want to spend $$ moving them over to a new server.

I'm just casual so I don't really have a valid opinion. I like to see content and play with people I know...so I'm down with whatever happens

Slax will stay on Ursin nite, so all of your alts and stuff will remain in the guild... as with everyone's alts really (when you xfer guild the original stays).

The main action will take place on the new server though so I am hoping we don't lose people in the process... but its inevitable. To those who stay behind they won't be 100 percent left out in the dry though.

I know Slax will stay on Ursin. The guild name doesn't make the guild, the people in it do. I'm going where the people I know go! Just saying...

I'm currently on Tichondrius with 3 characters I've moved there do this this issue its nice ah is always running and its a high pop server but I'd recommend something a little less busy and pvp focused as this place since the guild doesn't really care much for that. servers listed in other thread are pretty good and would be good places for you guys to move to. I'm sticking with Tichondrius for now but might eventually move a alt to be with you guys. I do miss playing with you guys but my work schedule is still unteniable for scheduled raiding. Though casual might be a possibility. Enjoy the game gotta admit the terrain is pretty much artwork this expansion. I'm on Tichondrius alliance if anybody wants to say hi Eogs, Eogz, Epines(night elf Druid) it'd be a gnome if blizzard would let me. Take care
